Job Summary
To support the MedStar Palliative Care Team in the Maryland/Washington DC region, a full-time remote Maryland Licensed Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner will manage expert pain and symptom management, provide guidance on complex treatment decisions, and assist with advance care planning.
Key responsibilities
- Manage pain and symptom relief for patients with serious illnesses
- Guide patients and families through complex treatment decisions and advance care planning
- Coordinate transitions of care and provide emotional and spiritual support
Required qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- 1-2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, preferably in Palliative Medicine
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Maryland, the District of Columbia, or Virginia
- Potentially requires a specialty license based on work location
