Job Summary
Providing expert consulting services, the part-time Maryland Licensed Plastic Surgeon will support the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health by conducting medical device reviews, participating in stakeholder meetings, and developing detailed documentation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct reviews and provide consultation related to medical device applications and regulatory processes
- Participate in meetings and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform research, data analysis, and write detailed documents and reports for CDRH projects
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D. or equivalent) from an accredited U.S. medical school
- Current, active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the U.S
- At least ten years of relevant clinical experience in plastic surgery
- Certification from a U.S. specialty board organization, such as the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)
- Thorough understanding of clinical practices in plastic surgery and medical devices used in the field
