Job Summary
To provide compassionate emotional support, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Call Taker will answer calls for a 24/7 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, following established protocols while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Answer calls from individuals in emotional distress, providing support and resources
- Administer safety assessments and respond appropriately based on risk levels
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Lifeline policies and procedures
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills for compassionate listening and support
- Ability to deescalate crisis situations while maintaining composure
- Cultural competency to work effectively with diverse populations
- Must reside in Massachusetts or New Hampshire
