Job Summary
To enhance the quality and accuracy of clinical documentation, the full-time Massachusetts Licensed CDI Specialist will perform concurrent reviews of inpatient medical records remotely, ensuring documentation reflects the patient's clinical condition and supports accurate coding and reimbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial and subsequent concurrent reviews of electronic medical records to identify documentation opportunities while meeting volume goals and maintaining quality standards
- Evaluate medical records for completeness, consistency, and clarity, and document reviews in compliance with established policies
- Identify query opportunities for provider clarification and issue compliant queries according to organizational policies and guidelines
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related healthcare field (e.g., medical coding and billing, nursing, healthcare administration)
- One year of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience in an acute care setting or one year of acute care clinical experience
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or equivalent credentials
