Job Summary
Offering a part-time, flexible opportunity, the Massachusetts Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia services to pet families in Medford, Salem, Boston, and Lynnfield, while enjoying professional autonomy and no non-compete agreements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services
- Independently travel to appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
- Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and maintain accurate veterinary medical records
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or equivalent degree from an accredited program
- Active veterinary license in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
- Experience in compassionate communication during end-of-life discussions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds
