Massachusetts Licensed Hospice Veterinarian

Job Summary

Seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Hospice Veterinarian, the part-time position will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia services to pet families across Cambridge, Brookline, Quincy, and Boston, allowing for professional autonomy and meaningful client relationships without the constraints of a traditional clinic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments, practicing in a mobile veterinary care environment
• Educate pet families on end-of-life care options and maintain accurate veterinary medical records

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent degree from an accredited program
• Active veterinary license in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain one
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
• Experience in handling sensitive conversations regarding pet hospice and end-of-life care
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds
