Job Summary
Providing critical hotline support, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator will manage incoming calls, offer compassionate assistance to individuals seeking help with opioid dependence, and coordinate various treatment program activities, all while working remotely on a per diem basis.
Key responsibilities
- Provide hotline support for the State resource center focused on opioid dependence
- Deliver crisis intervention and accurate referral services to callers
- Coordinate activities related to the Office-based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) Program
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree (or equivalent) with 1 year of related experience; Bachelor's degree is desirable
- Preferred experience in a substance abuse or mental health setting
- Knowledge of addiction through formal training or experience is preferred
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft programs and basic data management tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations with sensitivity
