Job Summary
Providing critical hotline support for individuals at risk of overdose, the part-time per diem Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator will manage incoming calls, engage in harm reduction conversations, and assist callers in accessing treatment and resources remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide hotline support for the State resource center focused on opioid dependence
- Deliver crisis intervention and accurate referral services to callers
- Coordinate activities related to the Office-based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) Program
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree (or equivalent) with 1 year of related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in a substance abuse or mental health setting is preferred
- Knowledge of addiction through formal training or experience is preferred
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft programs and basic data management tasks
- Bilingual or multi-lingual skills appropriate to the patient population served are preferred
