Massachusetts Licensed Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Providing clinical care and clerical support, the full-time Massachusetts Licensed Medical Assistant will assist healthcare providers in a remote setting, performing duties such as taking vital signs, conducting EKGs, and managing patient records during the day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Key responsibilities:

• Escorts patients, records vital signs, and documents health status and history
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests, and prepares for clinical procedures
• Maintains medical records, processes prescriptions, and assists with patient admissions and discharges

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health
• Ability to obtain BLS/HS certification within three months of hire if not already certified
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
