Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary
Working remotely on a per diem basis, a Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacy Technician will perform benefit investigations, submit prior authorizations, and conduct patient outreach while supporting the Advanced Therapeutics team.
Key responsibilities:
- Completes benefit investigations and documents results in patient electronic medical records
- Submits prior authorizations to insurance and conducts follow-up inquiries as necessary
- Maintains inventory of medications and coordinates prescription delivery with patients and pharmacies
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy
- Certification from a national governing body such as PTCB or ExCPT, or must obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of one year of related experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficiency in math and ability to use a computer effectively
