Job Summary
To support a growing surgical program, the per diem Massachusetts Licensed Pre-Admission Testing Nurse will conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, coordinate medical clearances, and educate patients on procedural expectations in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts thorough nursing assessments and reviews medical histories for patients scheduled for surgery
- Coordinates necessary medical clearances and follows up on laboratory tests during the perioperative period
- Provides patient education regarding anesthesia, procedural expectations, and hospital arrival instructions
Required qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts; BSN preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in surgical services
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Epic experience preferred
