Job Summary

Managing underwriting risks, the full-time Massachusetts Licensed Underwriting Leader will underwrite new and renewal business, oversee workflow processes, and provide leadership to underwriting teams while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business by evaluating risks and determining terms and conditions within delegated authority
• Manage the underwriting workflow lifecycle, including submissions, binding, policy servicing, and documentation compliance
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality and predictability, while collaborating with producers and internal teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation preferred
• Experience in underwriting, including multi-line or specialty insurance products
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to underwriting performance outcomes
• Experience providing guidance or mentorship within a team environment preferred
• Appropriate state-specific insurance license required; professional designations such as CPCU or CIC may be preferred
