Material Manager - MS

Job Summary

Managing the material management function for large-scale construction projects, the full-time remote Material Manager - MS will oversee the complete material lifecycle, from receiving to installation, while leading a team of Material Coordinators and Expediters.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage material operations, ensuring efficient handling and tracking of materials throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and implement project-specific material management plans, coordinating with various teams to ensure timely availability of materials
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee shipping and receiving activities, resolving discrepancies as needed

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in material management, logistics, or related roles, preferably in construction
• Previous leadership experience managing material or logistics teams, including supervising Material Coordinators or Expediters
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction management software, with a focus on inventory tracking
• Experience with mechanical construction materials and OSHA safety standards
• Clean driving history and forklift operation experience; certifications preferred
