Math Teacher Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking experienced secondary math teachers, the part-time Math Teacher Specialist will conduct remote sessions for 7th-8th grade Pre-Algebra students, focusing on tailored lesson plans and tracking progress without the need for grading papers.
Key responsibilities
- Meet with students in 25 to 55-minute sessions weekly, primarily in the afternoons and evenings
- Assess students' starting points and curate personalized lesson plans based on their needs
- Track student progress and communicate updates to parents while attending regular team meetings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or related fields
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Ability to work a minimum of 14 hours with students per week
- Good communication skills with parents
- Patient and adaptable to students' moods while teaching in an engaging manner
