Mechanical Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a cutting-edge AI initiative, the full-time Mechanical Data Engineer will transform raw customer data into structured datasets, create data pipelines, and ensure the accuracy of AI systems while working remotely on a 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Ingest, clean, and structure engineering data for AI training and inference while designing high-quality mechanical components in CAD
• Collaborate with Product Managers to enhance tooling for data processes and improve workflow efficiency
• Partner with engineering and research teams to define model data requirements and provide engineering examples for training datasets

Required Qualifications

• Strong domain expertise in mechanical engineering, manufacturing design, or industrial workflows
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or Creo
• Familiarity with annotation tools and illustration software (e.g., Creo Illustrate, Adobe Illustrator)
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical assemblies and technical documentation
• Experience creating engineering artifacts like exploded views and manufacturing instructions
