Job Summary
To support innovative projects in the nuclear energy sector, a remote contract Mechanical Design Engineer will manage refueling outage execution and logistics for the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor, focusing on engineering strategies, complex system design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee Mechanical Nuclear Island Support Systems (MNISS) engineering and refueling outage execution
- Develop outage tooling specifications, fabrication drawings, and secure required PEng stamps/registrations
- Collaborate with Licensing, Quality, and Project Management teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong technical expertise in systems engineering and outage planning
