Mechanical Designer
Job Summary
To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Mechanical Designer will develop design solutions for building projects, collaborate with various disciplines, and ensure adherence to codes and project specifications, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite.
Key responsibilities:
- Design components of buildings, integrating architectural design while adhering to applicable codes
- Create engineering drawings and evaluate design requirements to support construction projects
- Conduct site surveys, evaluate conditions, and write engineering specifications for project manuals
Required qualifications:
- Proficient in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Knowledge of building mechanical systems and architectural design concepts
- Completed related post-secondary education
- 7-10 years of project work experience in mechanical engineering building systems
- Registration with a relevant professional engineering association is an asset
