Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

To support the advancement of clean nuclear energy, a contract Mechanical Engineer will work remotely, leveraging a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and over 4 years of experience in a regulated industry to lead system design, validation, and integration activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system design activities, including specifications, FMEA evaluations, and licensing support
• Manage product and systems requirements while driving validation and verification activities for overall product/system performance
• Interface with cross-functional teams and customers to complete assigned system design tasks and improve project execution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in a regulated industry, preferably with knowledge of nuclear safety and quality standards
• Master's degree or SRO license qualifications are preferred
• Experience in the nuclear power industry or rad waste management is advantageous
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
