Mechanical Engineering Data Engineer

Job Summary

Transforming raw customer data into structured datasets, the full-time Mechanical Engineering Data Engineer will create data pipelines, labeling workflows, and reference models while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ingest, clean, and structure engineering data for AI training and evaluation, while designing high-quality mechanical components in CAD
• Collaborate with Product Managers to enhance tooling for data processes and provide feedback on workflow efficiency
• Partner with engineering and research teams to understand model requirements and influence model behavior with representative examples

Required Qualifications

• Strong domain expertise in mechanical engineering, manufacturing design, or industrial workflows
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or Creo
• Familiarity with annotation tools and illustration software (e.g., Creo Illustrate, Adobe Illustrator)
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical assemblies, technical drawings, and engineering documentation
• Experience creating artifacts like exploded views, work-step sequences, or manufacturing instructions
