Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time Mechanical Engineering Design Manager will lead design input on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance, innovation, and efficiency while collaborating with clients and managing external design consultants.
Key responsibilities
- Manage contracts with external design consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance and taking appropriate action as needed
- Lead technical assurance and guide the design process while evaluating constructability and managing design interfaces
- Drive the development of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle across various sectors
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (Preferred) Status with CIBSE, IMechE, or similar
- Strong understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and integrated design delivery
- Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit
