Job Summary
Providing part-time, early-morning support, the Media Monitoring Freelancer will monitor news and media coverage, identify relevant stories, and distill coverage into timely updates for client teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily morning monitoring across various media outlets to identify relevant coverage for assigned clients
- Compile and distribute timely media monitoring reports and coverage updates for client teams
- Identify breaking news and emerging stories, providing concise summaries of significant developments
Required qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in public relations, communications, media monitoring, journalism, or a related field
- Previous experience in conducting media monitoring and producing media coverage reports
- Strong writing and editorial judgment with the ability to synthesize information into clear summaries
- Consistent availability during required early-morning hours, generally between 6:00-10:00 a.m. ET, Monday through Friday
- Experience with media monitoring platforms such as Cision or Muck Rack is a plus
