Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Medicaid Application Specialist will manage the processing of Medicaid applications and re-determinations while collaborating with residents, families, and facility staff to ensure compliance and effective communication.
Key responsibilities
- Establish viable payer sources for residents and process Medicaid applications throughout their stay
- Utilize Utrack for data entry and maintain communication with facility staff regarding compliance and potential issues
- Participate in team meetings and provide training for new staff as needed
Required qualifications
- Experience working with nursing home facilities and Medicaid applications
- Familiarity with NCS, MatrixCare, and/or PCC is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information for effective problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
