Medicaid AR Recovery Analyst

Job Summary

Managing moderately complicated insurance denials and underpayments, the full-time Medicaid AR Recovery Analyst will utilize Rubixis AR Follow Up software to resolve payment issues, analyze billing and collections, and document outcomes, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Work an assigned number of accounts from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution
• Call healthcare insurance companies to address contract or payment inquiries and analyze billing compliance
• Document research outcomes and escalate issues to senior staff as needed

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare insurance billing, follow-up, and collection
• Knowledge of Medicaid payer rules and ability to interpret denial reasons
• Basic understanding of HIT systems such as EPIC or Paragon
• Familiarity with medical billing terminology, including CPT and ICD codes
• Proficiency in MS-Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
