Medicaid Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for timely follow-up on Medicaid claims, the full-time Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Medicaid Claim Status Follow-Up Specialist will engage in outbound and inbound calls to resolve billing inquiries and document all activities accurately, with the option to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to obtain claim status and assist customers with billing inquiries
• Gather, analyze, and identify issues preventing claims from processing
• Document all billing activities accurately and in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical billing
• Fluency in English with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
• Intermediate knowledge of computers and related technology
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• High school diploma, GED, or significant relevant work experience
