Medicaid FHIR Business Analyst
Job Summary
As a remote Advisor Technical Business Analyst specializing in Medicaid FHIR Architecture & Interoperability, the candidate will manage the translation of complex Medicaid data and workflows into scalable FHIR-based solutions, supporting large-scale Medicaid modernization and interoperability initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Translate state Medicaid business requirements and CMS mandates into FHIR-aligned technical requirements
- Serve as a technical translator between Medicaid stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication of FHIR architecture concepts
- Lead analysis and documentation for mapping Medicaid data to and from FHIR, including defining FHIR profiles and supporting API design
Required qualifications
- Nine or more years of experience as a business analyst, with at least three years in Medicaid and Medicare
- Deep knowledge of FHIR architecture and data translation processes
- Experience with advanced features of Microsoft Excel and relational database software
- Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interaction
- Experience in Medicaid transformation or modular MMIS modernization projects
