Medicaid Recovery Analyst

Job Summary

Managing moderately complicated insurance denials and underpayments, the full-time Medicaid Recovery Analyst will utilize the Rubixis AR Follow Up software to resolve payment issues while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve insurance payment discrepancies, ensuring compliance with billing regulations
• Collaborate with leadership and team members to identify trends and develop solutions for denials and underpayments
• Document all research outcomes and maintain accurate records of account statuses in the system

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare insurance billing, follow-up, and collections
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid payer rules and the ability to interpret denial reasons
• Familiarity with HIT systems such as EPIC or Paragon
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of insurance billing and reimbursement processes
• Basic understanding of medical billing terminology, including CPT and ICD codes
