Medical Billing Account Representative

Job Summary

To support the revenue recovery process, the part-time Medical Billing Account Representative will prepare and submit insurance claims, make outbound calls to collect payments, and manage account issues while working remotely with a preferred local candidate from the Chicagoland area.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to collect, post, and manage account payments
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, both electronically and manually
• Identify and resolve patient billing issues and establish payment plans

Required qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
• 3 to 5 years of experience in medical billing and collections
• Knowledge of HIPAA and FDCPA regulations
• Experience with medical coding, billing, and third-party billing procedures
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred
