Medical Billing Representative

Job Summary

Managing complex billing issues, the full-time Medical Billing Representative will work remotely to handle Third-Party Accounts Receivable, analyze denied claims, and communicate with insurance carriers to resolve billing discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Third-Party AR by analyzing denied and un-responded claims
• Make outbound calls to insurance carriers to reconcile and resolve billing issues
• Process insurance and patient refunds and adjustments while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of medical billing experience
• Ability to read and translate Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and insurance correspondence
• Proficiency in creating and modifying spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Must be 18 years of age or older
