Medical Billing Specialist
Job Summary
To support EMS organizations, the full-time Medical Billing Specialist will ensure accurate and timely billing by researching, coding, and filing claims while enjoying opportunities for professional growth, with the potential for hybrid or fully remote work after a 90-day onboarding period.
Key responsibilities
- Obtain and review run reports for accurate claim coding and submission
- Verify payer information and follow up on rejected or failed claims
- Enter claims into the billing system and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of six (6) months of medical billing experience required
- Six months of ICD-10 and HCPC coding experience required
- EMS billing experience preferred
- CAC certification preferred
