Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Overseeing the entire billing lifecycle, the full-time Medical Billing & Collections Specialist will submit claims, process billing for PT and ABA services, and monitor accounts receivable while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Submit timely and accurate medical claims to third-party payers, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure prompt payment
• Research and resolve billing issues, denials, and rejected claims

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in medical billing preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections
• Familiarity with Raintree EMR or other electronic billing systems is a plus
• Prior experience billing for Physical Therapy and/or Applied Behavior is highly desirable
• Understanding of payer policies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
