Medical & Biological Sciences Consultant
Job Summary
To support the development of the Medical & Biological Sciences Stream, the part-time Academic Consultant will provide expert academic input, assess student essays, and ensure quality assurance for a fully remote position.
Key responsibilities
- Provide subject-matter consultation and expert advice on academic content for the Medical & Biological Sciences Stream
- Review and ensure academic quality of lectures, seminars, and learning materials from a subject-specialist perspective
- Assess student essays, providing detailed, constructive feedback and identifying candidates for Excellence Awards
Required qualifications
- A degree in a relevant discipline at Master's level or above, or confirmed acceptance into a relevant Master's program
- Deep subject knowledge in at least one area covered by the stream, with a broad understanding of adjacent areas
- Experience in teaching, lecturing, or assessing students at university or sixth-form level is desirable
- Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback on written work against set criteria
- Active research, publications, or industry experience relevant to the stream is a plus
