Medical Coding Reimbursement Assistant

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated Reimbursement Assistant for the Financial Clearance - Ancillary Team, this full-time position will manage billing and collections coordination, meticulously extract data, and apply ICD-9 CM and CPT procedure codes for accurate billing, with a remote work arrangement that includes on-site training for approximately one week.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate professional and technical billings/collections with various departments and external agencies
• Screen medical records for claims-related liability issues and assist in auditing for billing accuracy
• Act as a liaison between third-party payers and departments to resolve audit discrepancies

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree (or equivalent credit hours) in medical coding, medical office technology, or a related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience in a medical-related area
