Medical Director, Global Safety

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Associate Medical Director, Global Safety Physician will manage global pharmacovigilance for investigational and marketed products, including safety data analysis, clinical trial design, and benefit-risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage safety surveillance for assigned products, collaborating with stakeholders and conducting safety trial data analyses
• Provide safety strategic leadership for clinical development programs by integrating scientific safety components into strategic frameworks
• Develop and maintain relationships with various departments and ensure timely completion of safety reports in compliance with regulatory timelines

Required qualifications

• MD required; subspecialty focus in neuroscience, psychiatry, immunology, or rare diseases preferred
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical care setting, with at least 1+ years specific to pharmacovigilance
• Prior experience in clinical trials, either academic or industry-based
• Knowledge of pre- and post-marketing US and EU regulations
