Medical Director, Psychiatry
Job Summary
To advance innovative psychiatric treatments, the remote Medical Director, Psychiatry will provide subject matter expertise in treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and investigational psychedelic therapeutics, contributing to Medical Affairs strategy through clinical evaluation, evidence generation, and external engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a medical subject matter expert in TRD and emerging psychiatric treatments, providing insights to inform Medical Affairs initiatives
- Lead the development of research proposals and evidence-generation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific rigor
- Engage with external experts and represent Medical Affairs at scientific discussions to identify unmet needs and clinical practice considerations
Required qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Clinical training and demonstrated expertise in psychiatry, particularly in treatment-resistant depression
- Experience in clinical research, academic medicine, or Medical Affairs
- Ability to critically evaluate clinical research and communicate findings effectively
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodology and evidence-based medicine
