Medical Insurance Collector

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Medical Insurance Collector will work remotely to resolve insurance claim denials and non-payments by collaborating with insurance companies, preparing necessary documentation, and following up until payment is received.

Key responsibilities

• Work with insurance companies to identify and resolve the causes of claim denials or non-payments
• Initiate and submit documentation required to address issues and follow up until payment is secured
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focused on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Effective interpersonal skills and communication abilities
