Job Summary

To support timely payment of payer and patient account balances, the full-time Medical Insurance Specialist will manage delinquent accounts, perform collection activities, and resolve billing issues while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors delinquent accounts and performs collection duties
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and resolves billing problems
• Answers patient inquiries regarding payments, billing, and insurance issues

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two years of combined medical billing and payment experience required
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required
• Familiarity with state and federal collections guidelines
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying the position
