Job Summary
Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will assist patients in obtaining coverage for prescription medications through inbound and outbound calls while adhering to call center metrics and HIPAA regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with obtaining coverage for prescription medications
- Utilize call center software to complete account research and update notes
- Place calls to insurance companies on behalf of patient needs
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
- Previous experience in prior authorization and claims is preferred
- Must have a quiet, secure location in the home to work
- High-speed internet with hardwired modem access (no hotspots accepted)
- Computer proficient with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple screens
