Medical Order Specialist

Job Summary

To support timely patient care, the remote Medical Order Specialist will review and process changes to existing patient orders, validate prescriptions and insurance authorizations, and maintain accurate documentation in a detail-driven role.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process changes to existing patient orders for accuracy and compliance
• Validate prescription accuracy and verify insurance coverage, submitting authorizations as needed
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and communicate with patients and internal teams to resolve order issues

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience
• Home health, DME, or enteral experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required
