Medical Records Manager

Job Summary

Leading a remote U.S.-based and offshore team, the Manager of Medical Records will manage the retrieval of facesheets and medical documentation across practices, focusing on reducing charge lag and accelerating cash flow by ensuring timely submission of records to payers.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee all medical records functions, including retrieval from various portals and handling medical documentation denials
• Proactively retrieve facesheets to minimize charge lag and resolve charges held for missing documentation within established timelines
• Manage user access requests for hospital and facility portals while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare and 2+ years in medical records
• Experience with athena required, along with working knowledge of Epic, Cerner, and Meditech
• Proven ability to manage remote and offshore teams effectively
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on productivity tracking and data-driven decision-making
