Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management team, the remote Medical Records Specialist will retrieve facesheets and medical documentation, ensuring timely submission to reduce charge lag and accelerate cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve facesheets and medical documentation from various sources, including hospital portals and EMRs
• Address charges held for missing documentation and work through medical documentation denials to track resolution
• Collaborate with regional teams to resolve records and facesheet issues while adhering to productivity and quality standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience
• Experience with hospital EMRs and athenaOne is required
• Familiarity with pMD, Epic, AdvancedMD, Veradigm, Cerner, and Meditech is preferred
• Experience in nephrology revenue cycle management is helpful
