Job Summary

Working remotely as an independent contractor, the part-time Medical Records Technician will manage patient records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support healthcare documentation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain patient medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation for healthcare providers
• Support the implementation of electronic health record systems and processes

Required qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Records Technician or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health information management
• Experience with electronic health record systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
