Medicare Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the efficient management of accounts receivable, the remote Healthcare Medicare Billing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the collection of outstanding Medicare claims for various post-acute service lines, ensuring timely payments, resolving billing issues, and maintaining positive relationships with payers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Notice of Admission (NOA) and Notice of Election (NOE) billing and tracking
• Resolve denied or rejected Medicare claims and perform claims resolution in various systems
• Achieve pre-established goals related to workflow, quality, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, specifically in billing and collections
• Experience with Home Health/Hospice/Private Duty EMR systems, specifically Epic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong quantitative skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
