Mental Health Specialist II, NJ Licensed

Job Summary

Providing culturally competent support, the per diem Mental Health Specialist II, NJ Licensed, will manage telephone, chat, and text requests for service, assess callers' needs, and offer appropriate referrals while working up to 19 hours per week, potentially in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to service requests from individuals contacting the Call Center
• Evaluate the service needs of callers and provide suitable referrals and support
• Document interactions and maintain accurate electronic records under time constraints

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a related area
• Current NJ licensure as a mental health professional
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Experience managing crisis situations and handling emergency calls
• Proficiency in using electronic documentation systems
