Michigan Departmental Analyst Trainee

Job Summary

To enhance the efficiency of booking systems across Michigan, the full-time Michigan Departmental Analyst Trainee will define and maintain system parameters, collaborate with law enforcement agencies, and ensure compliance with data standards set by the Michigan State Police and FBI.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and maintain parameters for booking systems, ensuring data quality and compliance
• Collaborate with law enforcement and system administrators to troubleshoot issues and monitor data submissions
• Create and administer test cases for livescan and booking systems, verifying adherence to standards and policies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any major or equivalent experience as outlined in the job specification
• Experience as a professional analyst, with a minimum of one year for Departmental Analyst 10 or two years for Departmental Analyst P11
• Experience in law enforcement or related fields is preferred
• Proficiency in working with databases and statistical reporting
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening, including drug and background checks
