Michigan Licensed Application Security Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a Michigan Licensed Application Security Manager, the full-time remote position will develop presentations on application security, advise leadership on threats, and mentor security team members while fostering a culture of security within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver presentations on application security topics to diverse audiences
• Advise executive leadership on current and evolving security threats to inform risk management decisions
• Facilitate third-party penetration tests and create remediation plans in collaboration with development teams

Required qualifications

• Minimum of four years of professional experience, including two years in a security field and one year of coding experience
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with experience in languages such as C#, Java, or C++
• Familiarity with secure coding best practices, including the OWASP Top 10
• Foundational knowledge of security practices across various contexts, including networking and cloud infrastructure
• Relevant industry certifications such as SANS/GIAC, CompTIA, or CISSP preferred
