Job Summary
Managing the planning, design, and construction of various civil engineering projects, the full-time Michigan Licensed Civil Engineer will ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards while collaborating with teams and clients in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, MI.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare construction plans, feasibility reports, and cost estimates with minimal supervision
- Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading plans, profiles, and road design while performing complex calculations for stormwater and utility systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses
- At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering within an engineering or construction firm
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading tools and design features
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and client relationships successfully
