Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Michigan Licensed Commercial Title Examiner will examine land title records, research public records, and provide underwriting solutions while working remotely from Michigan with occasional in-office training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine land title records to determine the status of title and analyze relevant legal documents
- Research title resources and public records to compile data and issue commitments based on title status
- Guide customers and escrow officers through the closing process while ensuring effective underwriting solutions
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-4 years of experience as a Commercial Title Examiner or in a similar role within the real estate or title industry
- Advanced knowledge of title examination processes and legal terminology related to real property
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting legal documents such as deeds and mortgages
- Experience with title search software and databases, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
