Job Summary
To support the Michigan Staff Counsel team, a Michigan Licensed Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with civil litigation tasks, including preparing legal documents and summarizing medical records, in a remote, one-year limited term position.
Key responsibilities
- Assists attorneys in answering interrogatories and preparing legal documents such as motions and complaints
- Obtains and summarizes medical records and arranges for medical examinations as directed by trial attorneys
- Prepares documents and evidence for trial and conducts witness interviews as necessary
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or 3 years of paralegal experience preferred
- Paralegal certificate or completion of at least one year of law school required
- One year of experience in a civil litigation law firm preferred
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
