Job Summary

To support the Michigan Staff Counsel team, a Michigan Licensed Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with civil litigation tasks, including preparing legal documents and summarizing medical records, in a remote, one-year limited term position.

Key responsibilities
  • Assists attorneys in answering interrogatories and preparing legal documents such as motions and complaints
  • Obtains and summarizes medical records and arranges for medical examinations as directed by trial attorneys
  • Prepares documents and evidence for trial and conducts witness interviews as necessary
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or 3 years of paralegal experience preferred
  • Paralegal certificate or completion of at least one year of law school required
  • One year of experience in a civil litigation law firm preferred
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
