Job Summary
Reviewing medical bills and providing reimbursement recommendations, the full-time Michigan Licensed Medical Review Specialist will work remotely in the EST time zone, utilizing clinical expertise to assess treatment necessity and ensure compliance with guidelines for Michigan Workers' Compensation claims.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews medical bills and documentation according to established guidelines and policies
- Determines the relationship and necessity of treatment related to covered injuries
- Provides customer service to adjusters, providers, and claimants regarding bill reviews
Required qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder certification is required
- 1+ years of medical coding experience (CPT, ICD-10) is preferred
- 1+ years of experience in medical bill repricing is preferred
- Experience with Michigan Workers' Compensation is preferred
