Michigan Licensed Medical Review Specialist
Job Summary
Reviewing medical bills and applying clinical expertise, the full-time Michigan Licensed Medical Review Specialist will work remotely in the EST time zone to assess the appropriateness of treatments, determine reimbursement recommendations, and ensure quality customer service for Michigan Workers' Compensation claims.
Key responsibilities
- Review medical bills and documentation according to established guidelines and policies
- Determine the relationship and necessity of treatment related to covered injuries
- Provide customer service to adjusters, providers, and claimants regarding bill reviews and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder certification is required
- 1+ years of medical coding experience (CPT, ICD-10) is preferred
- 1+ years of experience in Medical Bill Repricing is preferred
- Experience with Michigan Workers' Compensation is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and general PC skills are required
